This is a very comprehensive and all-inclusive workshop photo safari, covering two distinct ecosystems with unrivaled wildlife diversity and unique landscapes. Combin ing the Northern Serengeti and Ruaha at the perfect time to avoid the crowds and photograph amazing wildlife and habitats.
The tail end of the Great Migration will still be crossing the Mara river headed south, and when you’re not focused on crossings you’ll be after cheetah, lion, leopard, elephant, birds and so much more. While the open savanna in the Serengeti will be lush and green with occasional rain showers, this will contrast with the end of the arid dry season in Ruaha. Blooming Baobab trees, Greater and Lessor Kudu, Roan antelope, elephant, all the big cats and more.

The Serengeti is personified by the Great Migration, and witnessing it's perilous crossing of the Mara River is perhaps one of the most sought after photographic events. This safari offers that and much more. We've timed this safari to avoid the crowds while still witnessing Mara river crossings, as well as the incredible diversity of wildlife the savannas of the Northern Serengeti, followed by a flight to Ruaha to experience an entirely different ecosystem.

Dedicating five nights in the Northern Serengeti in the Lamai area at the Grand Mara Camp, then flying to Ruaha for an additional five nights at the Grand Ruaha Tented Lodge.
Flight planning from the USA: Depart on October 18 to Amsterdam (AMS) then connecting flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) arriving on the 19th. Return Flight home: Dar es Salaam (DAR) on October 30th , late evening flight to AMS, connecting flight to home airport. Arrive home on the 31st.
