Ruaha

Introducing the new Grand Ruaha Tented Lodge in Ruaha National Park.

Situated in a remote location next to the Great Ruaha river, it offers an inspiring lodge and suites thoughtfully nestled into the landscape and surrounded by a prolific diversity of wildlife.

The camp features six large and well-appointed suites, including two Grand Suites, all with hardwood floors and tiled washrooms, and two queen beds each.

The main lodge offers a rustic elegance, with both indoor and outdoor dinning, a comfortable lounge area, a bar and a library.

Moreover, we know full well how hard it is to travel with everything so we include the use of all the small necessities photographers require, including computers with image editing software, card readers, any and all possible cables, adapters, chargers, tripods for night photography and more.

Serengeti

Grand Safaris offers two seasonal camps in the Serengeti, both situated to best experience the Great Migration and other wildlife at the optimal times of the year. These seasonal camps are the perfect accommodation for a truly authentic safari experience, as well as being very well appointed and comfortable.

Grand Kopje Camp

Located in the eastern Serengeti, Grand Kopje Camp operates from November to the end of June. Its location is ideally suited for seeing the Great Migration during the calving season, and all the big cats – including lions and cheetahs on the spectacular kopjes (big rock out-croppings)

Grand Mara Camp

Located in the Lamai area just north of the Mara river, the Grand Mara Camp offers fantastic viewing of the Great Migration crossing the croc infested waters of the Mara river. The Lamai area offers great lion cheetah and leopard sightings, as well as elephant, plains game and birds. It is located near the border with Kenya and the famous Maasai Mara.

We also offer a wide range of other accommodations to access other areas of the Serengeti, including high-end resorts such as the Singita Camps and Lodges, and a range of accommodations at the Ngorongoro Crater.

Zanzibar

The lure of relaxing in Zanzibar after the dust and bumps of a wild safari is hard to resist. While Zanzibar has many wonderful accommodation facilities scattered around the island – we’ve concentrated on four of the highest rated. Two that are close to Mji Mkongwe, the old part of Zanzibar City, aka Stone Town, and two that offer private luxury outside the city.

In town, we recommend the Park Hyatt Zanzibar, and the Serena Zanzibar, which are conveniently located on the beach within walking distance of the old stone town. Both offer impeccable service and facilities.

Outside of town we highly recommend the Gold Zanzibar Beach House and Spa, and the ultra luxury Elewana Kalindi Zanzibar. Both of which offer beautiful private beaches and are the perfect choice for a romantic or exclusive experience.

We can arrange a local guide and transportation for those looking to explore and photograph more remote parts of the island. If time allows, consider also an offshore trip for some amazing snorkeling and scuba-diving, as these waters are renowned for spectacular marine life.
