Classic Safari: Per Night Basis / Serengeti North

The Grand Mara Camp in the northern Serengeti is ideally located in the Lamai area, a very special and secluded section of habitat just north of the famous Mara river. The camp consist of 8 guest tents that are well appointed and spacious for two – though big enough for a family of four if needed.

Being in the Lamai area, we’re far from the other camps and crowds on the south side of the Mara river. Moreover, the Grand Mara camp is the furthest camp in the northwestern camp in the Serengeti – just a couple miles from the Kenya border and the Maasai Mara. Our location provides easy access to the greatest show on earth: the Great Migration river crossings, and the wildlife and beauty of the open savanna. Amazing landscapes and divers wildlife sightings provide non-stop adventure and photographic opportunities.

The Great Migration is a perilous journey – with predators every step of the way – and these river crossings are famous one of the most dramatic threats they encounter; giant crocodiles. While viewing the Great Migration river crossings take center stage, the diversity of wildlife in the area is in itself nothing short of spectacular, with all the big cats, elephant, giraffe and plains game… it’s all there!
